Rating Review
Customer Rating Most American band methods are pretty similar - this Percussion book is quite similar to the 1st Standard of Excellence percussion book. The note font is slightly bigger though with Accent on Acheivement and the backing CD is GREAT and tempo adjustable! It covers more musical knowledge that the Standard of Excellence book 1 and doesn't just repeat similar concepts. The way it presents snare drum isn't as good or comprehensive as S.O.E. but with a little creativity on the part of the teacher and by using the appendix it works just as well. However it does have a distinct lack of stickings and sticking concept information.
