Rating Review
Customer Rating This is great! All those songs you really want to play. They are at intermediate level and nice arrangements. The CDs are excellent and even include slower versions that you can use to practice the quicker pieces.

Customer Rating This is a fantastic book with a great CD accompaniment. It made me feel like part of an orchestra. Good large range of pieces with some tracks on the CD that play some at a slower pace which is a definite plus ( and should be on all CDs I think!!)
Definite good buy that will not leave you disappointed.

Customer Rating The book is compulsory for my daughter but she tells me it's fine. More importantly the service from Musicroom was exemplary!

Customer Rating This collection of arrangements is a wonderful addition to the violin tutorials and technical materials giving the budding violinist pieces that he or she enjoys and perhaps could perform for friends or at a party. The piano accompaniment is also quite accessible for a young musician or parent who has not played in ages. Many of the pieces provide incentive to work hard on the next grade materials. My son who has just done his grade 1 exam loves Pomp & Circumstance and is looking forward to playing Romeo & Juliet as well as Sheherazad, and many others. The two CDs provide performances as well as play-along tracks, sometimes additional play-along tracks at a practice tempo. Only criticism would be that I find the alphabetical listing of pieces at the back slightly confusing. The CD's apparently follow the order of pieces as they appear in the sheet music.
This collection could also serve as a source for background pieces for musicians playing at wedding receptions or parties, hotels, e.g. harp and violin. Pavane, Gymnopedie, Pachelbel's Canon, Barcarolle are already pieces harpists like to play on such occasions. It is easy to sight-read and sounds good. The accompaniment would be easy to embellish though this would not be necessary.

Customer Rating This was purchased for my young daughter who is playing at grade 4/5 level. She is finding the pieces very enjoyable and light relief from her current exam pieces.

Customer Rating This is an excellent book with many songs to play. The service from musicroom was also excellent.

Customer Rating Very good range of pieces and technical challenge post Grade 1. The best played Demo tracks I've come across (much better than the Guest Spot, although they have improved lately). I'd recommend.

Customer Rating Excellent with separate sheets for violin and piano accompaniment.

Customer Rating A great book full of easily recognisable pieces. The 2 CD's provide a lovely accompaniement; you could imagine yourself in a concert hall. Quite a range of grade standards covered providing something for everybody.

Customer Rating My daughter who is starting Grade III loves this selection. She recognises many of the tunes which encourages her to play and the parts are accessible for her. The piano accompaniment is also straightforward. A useful source of light relief that encourages playing for pleasure.

Customer Rating Book required for a grade 3 exam piece. It contains a varied selection of pieces so my daughter will enjoy playing these as well as the set piece.

Customer Rating This book is great, especially for someone who is doing their grades 3-4 in violin. It really is a handy book to have, i'ts filled with well know and enjoyable pieces that also help with technique, especially for someone who is still learning third position. The only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that I think it would be even better if you could buy this without the piano parts, though having the piano parts is a really handy thing to have included, it is a bit annoying that the piano parts take up more space than the violin parts, which is primarily the reason why I bought this and I now have nothing to do with this book full of piano music that is lying around. Other than that it really is a fantastic book to have.

Customer Rating As an adult learner at Grade 2-3 level, I have been delighted with this book. There are several tunes that I can play without too much difficulty, plus plenty to challenge me for quite some time. The CD is very good, with slower practice tracks for some pieces (the ABRSM could copy that idea with advantage). A good quality product and excellent value for money.

Customer Rating Great book for beginners who can't wait to play some well-known classics! I bought this for my son who is in Grade 1 and he loved it!

Customer Rating An excellent sheet music book with CD backing to the pieces. Has a nice selection of popular classical tunes that we all know but cannot necessarily bring to mind what they are called! I would personally recommend this to anyone who would like a book of the best bits of classical pieces and this is a good way of acquiring quite a few of them. Not too difficult to play and I think would suit many levels.

Customer Rating The music is brilliant which I enjoy playing on my violin. The choice of the various composers are excellent as with the arrangement of formats left for the individual to select his own depending on his or her skills of the instrument they are playing.

Customer Rating I'm really enjoying this selection, some are more challenging than others (I'm at grade 3!). CDs are a real help.

Customer Rating A really good book to inspire a young violinist to play some famous classical pieces.

Well presented.
The book arrived the day after I ordered it!

Customer Rating This was recommended by my teacher. I am a beginner so can't really play any of it yet but I think the pieces vary from Grade 3-5 standard. I can play some of the pieces on the flute so that works well for me. The piano accompaniment is harder than the violin part.
