Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating I teach music to all classes except Year 6 in our primary school and have found all the Music Express books to be excellent. It's very practically based (I'm lucky in that all the classes come to me so I have all the percussion instruments to hand in one place) and uses examples of music (on the accompanying CD) covering a wide range of genres and instrumentation. I'm a trained music specialist and find it a great resource for delivering the advised curriculum (I follow it mostly but change a few things here and there to suit me or the individual class). But I do wonder if it would be too complex for a non-music specialist to understand and deliver properly. Having said that, I presume teachers would pick-and-choose the material to suit their understanding, and still get a lot out of it.
There are photocopiable worksheets/illustrations included in the books but I would have thought by now these would have been included on the accompanying CDrom to use on the classroom whiteboard to save paper.
