Beaconsfield GB keen amateur singer
The exercises based on intervals, up and down are so useful. My teacher has me sing with ee-ya rather than the words....we then modulate up in half steps, after memorising the tune, to cover a wide range
Negative: that I didn't know about these so much earlier in my vocal training.

Rating Review
Customer Rating I must say I was sceptical when my singing teacher asked me to get this book - after a childhood of suffering inflicted by "Dozen a day" piano exercises and Kreutzer violin studies a book of exercises was the last thing I wanted to get.

This book has been a very pleasant surprise. The studies are musical and pleasant, and don't invoke the bad memories of technical exercises. They're not quite in the league of Sevcik violin studies (my all-time favourite) but are not practised under sufferance either!
