Description

Celebrated composer and performer, Mark Nightingale has written 27 colourful etudes designed to help the younger player's first steps in jazz phrasing. The pieces all have descriptive titles such as Fiesta Siesta, Ready Aim Fire and Big Mama. The book is peppered with witty drawings by the distinguished cartoonist John Webb. Easy Jazzy 'Tudes has been selected for the Associated Board examinations for Trumpet/Cornet and Trombone grades 3 through to 6, making it an excellent choice for any young brass player.

Rating Review
Customer Rating A fun selection of short studies used in the first few Associated Board exams. They are popular with children who would like to play something slightly more upbeat for their List C piece. Also available for trumpet/cornet.

Customer Rating Great fun. My daughter is preparing for grade 3 and she can play the first few tunes very nicely already. Cool titles!

Customer Rating A fun selection of studies introducing a touch of jazz to the basic player onwards (ABRSM grade 1 - 4). Always popular with my pupils.

Customer Rating Most study pieces for exams are tedious to play - not these! The jazzy style makes them fun to work on, and the book contains pieces for several ABRSM grades, making it well worth buying.

Customer Rating Book arrived by return, thank you.
This is an excellent collection, recommended by my trombone teacher who rates it very highly, as do I, for someone who is in the early stages of learning the instrument, They are a good introduction to the rhythms of jazz and gently push you into the higher registers. I've even used them for some double bass practice as there are some good tunes in there!
