Rating Review
Customer Rating This is a handy, short guide to music theory. However, because it is so short, I found that it didn't explain somethings fully. Used with another theory book, it's excellent; ie once you have an idea of the theory, this is a very quick and easy memory aid. I like the pictures and the visual layout- a good book to have.

Customer Rating A good guide to music theory. A little dull in places but, most of the time, it gets the points over very well.

Customer Rating A very comprehensive and interesting book. I am a mature student learning the theory of music from scratch and as sight reading is an important skill was keen to approach this in as many straightforward ways as possible. I have only skimmed the book, but find it easy to read and given time and effort on my part I am sure it will support my skill development. It does require a level of musicality and knowledge so is not for beginners.
