Description

Bizet’s opera Les Pecheurs de Perles (The Pearl Fishers) is an exquisite combination of emotional turmoil and pervasive sadness, containing a ceaselessly seductive score. Taken from the opera, Au Fond Du Temple Saint is one of the most famous arias ever written for tenor and baritone voice and is available here with a piano accompaniment.

The libretto for the opera was written, in French, by Eugene Cormon and Michel Carre. This edition has been edited by Roger Nichols and contains a preface, critical commentary and the Duet text, which has been translated into English and German. Note that the text written in the score is in French only.

A shortened version without the tricky
dramatic parts in. Ideal for good amateur singers, Still beautiful.
Not suitable for purists but apart from that, well worth doing.

Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating Great to get hold of a proper score for this famous number. Easy to read (if not to interpret!) and very well laid-out. Highly recommended for anyone else foolish enough to follow in the many famous footsteps of those who have recorded the piece.
