Description

A unique learning method for Alto Saxophone, complete with two supporting CDs, that assumes no previous musical knowledge and will teach you all you need to play hot rock solos and other exciting music!

Ruud Chermin's tutorial starts at the very beginning with your first notes and blowing techniques, before carefully introducing music-reading, more rhythms and a host of great little pieces. Every example is supported on the accompanying CD, so you always know how things should sound. At every stage you are encouraged to improvise and experiment, and the CDs also feature a clutch of specially recorded backing tracks to help boost your confidence as your abilities progress.

Before you know it you'll be playing some spectacular rock solos!

Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating Nice method, exciting backing tracks with a good variety of styles. The tunes included are enjoyable and make musical sense even in the most basic stages. I use this a the basis for sax group tuition in secondary school. The only criticism is that it introduces a lot of info on page one, and generally could use more tunes on each level, so needs supplementing with other tunes and exercises to process all techniques and notes learnt. Nice one!
