Most of the pieces are classical in content but some arragements of standard popular songs have been included which show the wide range of music suitable for the accordion.

Theory content is good
It is a book for teachers to instruct students rather than a book for self teaching.

Music theory is well presented
Not enough initial explanation about how the reeds work, registration and couplers for complete beginners with no prior musical knowledge. Need to address bellows technique earlier than P32. Bass keyboard chart would be easier to follow p11 if it were vertical as this is how the player looks down on t he buttons.

Rating Review
Customer Rating Knowing how to play the piano already this book is excellent for seeing the visual difference on paper between the two instruments.

Customer Rating I am using this book in conjunction with the Sedlon method to give me variations on exercises and a different angle of explanation as I do not have a teacher. I have not completed the book but it appears to be comprehensive and methodical with a good variety of short pieces to learn gradually as my skills improve.
