Customer Rating Heard 'Farewell to Stromness' played at the Thaxted Festival by Tom Poster. A beautiful piece of music and very accessible for an amateur pianist. Service from Musicroom excellent. The music arrived in perfect condition within 2 days of order.

Customer Rating Very happy with this edition.

Customer Rating The famous "Farewell to Stromness" is a huge hit with teenagers, especially Scottish ones, who really respond to the sinister background which inspired the Revue; it's Grade 4 -ish, with a couple of tricky contrapuntal bars + wide stretches, but easily managed after practice. It makes a good concert piece, the 2 outer sections of great beauty, the middle section threatening then angry, and the ending either serene or sad according to your interpretation. Always a hit with audiences too.
