Description

Dorothy Pilling's essential book of exercises aids development of a certain facility in harmonising melodies at the Piano.

This is a valuable and proven method that serves both as an introduction to harmonising; with simple, primary triads to ornamental decoration; and a useful starting point to improvising.

This is good basic stuff - excellent for recognising the sound of the classical music skeleton of harmony before beginning to add the extra colours of improvisation.
None, really. The initially simple melodies match the basic harmony and become progressively interesting with the moreadvanced harmonies through the three books.
