Customer Rating At last, a truly original and inspiring musical voice is heard throughout Adam Guettels' masterly suite of songs - Myths and Hymns. Until now, the 1999 CD has provided listeners with the rich pickings of this fine score, but with the release of the vocal selections we have four more treasures to complete this eclectic set of exquisitely crafted songs.

Melodically, harmonically and lyrically each song transcends the norm taking the listener and performer into unchartered territory exploring musical styles which break with traditional form and yet, at all times, there is glorious melody, a completeness and satisfying tunefullness.

As Richard Rodgers' grandson, Mr Guettel follows in a line of all time great composers: Not since Stephen Sondheim have we recognised that in Adam Guettel can we now be assured the future of musical writing is safe and 'in production'.
