Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating This book has lots of really beautiful arrangements in it, but I bought it for me and a couple of friends so we could sing three-part carols, and unfortunately most of the songs are for four parts at least (two sopranos, two altos). Some of the bottom alto parts in some of the songs are quite low, and similarly some of the top soprano lines go quite high. I guess this is inevitable with four part female choral writing, but just make sure that the choir you're working with has a good range of high and low voices and that there are at least four parts.

Customer Rating Only just discovered that Carols for Choirs (which I've used for years in SATB form) available for soprano/alto only. Looks great - will solve my singing problem!

Customer Rating An absolute staple for my community ladies choir - a good mix of challenging songs, simpler songs and carols. The arrangements are beautiful and make full use of the range from low alto to high soprano. (Occasionally I swap parts over and have the sopranos sing the alto part with the altos singing the soprano part an octave lower - it still works beautifully!)
