Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating This is a collection of 4 CDs and accompanying notes (some of which are transcripts of CD tracks). It takes the form of recorded workshops on how to sing and also how to sing this particular music. Each piece is built up from the foundations on multiple tracks. The songs are multitracked by Ysaye Barnwell who has an incredible voice. I teach music in a grammar school and have used some of the songs with my year 9's and 10's and they find them inspiring and very cool. It doesn't look much for the money when you get it, but when you get into the CDs it's an excellent resource for teaching African music and its influences (and getting choirs singing).
