Zadok The Priest is a Coronation Anthem for King George II and has subsequently been heard at every coronation of the British Crown, during the sovereign’s anointing. The opening choral entry of Zadok The Priest is one of the most striking moments in the choral repertory and typical of Handel’s grand, rousing works.

Scored for SSAATBB and Piano or Organ accompaniment, and delightfully edited for this edition by Donald Burrows.

Note: where possible, the full division of the voices throughout the work should be observed to provide continual, smooth transtitions.

This is a standard choral piece which most choral society members will have. I needed a copy because most of my stuff is in store at the moment. I got exactly what I needed and expected at a reasonable price and with quick delivery.

Price and availability, especially compared with Australian prices.

Clear readability
No bad points as such. It's a cheap clean copy suitable for items such as this which is an easily learned piece and would not be required by individuals for multiple uses over over several years . A more substantial product would be better for general choir use.

Rating Review
Customer Rating This 7 part edition was clearly set out with the vocal lines and text being very easy to read - also the piano accompaniment was also clearly laid out. Compared to a number of other versions I had looked through this was clearly the better one all round.

Customer Rating Concise, easy to read and accurate. The performance directions on the piano and vocal parts are helpful and clear and contribute to this already sublime music.
