Description

Clarinet Basics is a landmark method by one of the leading figures in clarinet education. It starts at absolute beginner level and progresses to about Grade 2 level. The method is set out in 22 stages, each of which includes a wonderful variety of concert pieces from the great composers, traditional tunes and more than 100 fun, original exercises, with helpful fingering charts and great illustrations. This teacher's book contains clarinet and piano accompaniments and extensive performance notes, suggestions for group work and teaching tips.

Rating Review
Customer Rating This book shouldn't be regarded as just an optional extra for the clarinet teacher if you are using the tutor book with students ~ providing you have some ability with piano as well. There are accompaniments for every piece in the tutor book, some using clarinet, some using piano. They are very nicely written, often quite jazzy, and they certainly make the student pieces come alive, showing that even scales can be fun! Although the piano accompaniments are not difficult, you do need to be able to play the piano to make full use of this book.

Customer Rating This is a brilliant book to help teach beginners. My pupils love the tunes and as they are starting from scratch find it very encouraging to be able to play so soon.
