Celebrated choral composers Bob Chilcott and Susan Knight have searched the globe for the most vibrant and exciting festive music representing a range of styles and cultures. This unique collection has it all - from a melismatic Armenian hymn to a percussive villancico from the Dominican Republic; a US spiritual to a Polish folk carol.
The collection features:
  • 31 pieces that are perfect for a wide range of SATB choirs
  • New Christmas repertoire from all over the world
  • Each piece in both English and its original language
  • Pronunciation guides to help with singing the original texts
  • Carols by popular and little-known composers
This anthology not only offers a world of new and unusual music for your choir, it also represents a fascinating glimpse into seasonal and musical traditions the world over.

Rating Review
Customer Rating We are singing 5 works from this, and they are becoming very popular. The carols in the compilation are a broad mixture and are listed alphabetically by country. Included is the Huron carol, which may be familiar, but also some beautiful new discoveries. The Japanese 'Infant joy' is actually a William Blake poem set to a lovely lilting melody, and was written especially for the volume since there is no real carol tradition in Japan.
