One of the most influential composers of the 20th century, Debussy overturned traditional concepts of form, harmony, rhythm, and orchestral coloration. Among his most popular works are the compositions in this volume, Prelude A ' L'Apres-Midi D'Un Faune and the Three Nocturnes, Clouds, Festivals and Sirens. The Nocturnes are described as 'exquisite, evocative models of Impressionism' and are all fantastic examples of the expressiveness and character of music from this period.

These important compostitions, in Dover Miniature Score format, are reproduced from authoritative early editions.

Musicroom Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating Great little book for analysing/annotating on the move. As it printed from early editions of the score it is faded in places, and the alignment is a bit skew-whiff on some pages. Both these things are just very small niggles on an otherwise excellent collection.
