Alexander's Feast was composed by Handel in 1736. The words, in celebration of St Cecilia, patron saint of music, were written by Dryden and first set to music by Jeremiah Clarke. This ode was written for STB (or SATB) soli, SATB chorus and orchestra.

This version, edited by Donald Burrows, contains all vocal parts and a piano accompaniment.

Rating Review
Customer Rating Our musical director made a number of amendments: mainly shortening notes. I think this was so that a line coming in was heard from the start, and to aid taking a breath for the next phrase. The performance is yet to come.
Overall not too difficult.
