Orpheus With His Lute is a work by Thomas Hyde for Unaccompanied SATB Choir. Dedicated to the memory of the late John McCabe, this work is a setting of lines from Shakespeare's Henry VIII. A full performance lasts around 2 minutes.
A review in the July/August issue of Choir and Organ magazine stated "Hyde prioritises communication of the text in a direct manner and the work is only two minutes long, but here the style is a perfect recreation of the mid/late 20th-century English partsong.
