Rating Review
Customer Rating Pure Quality. That's all that can be said. One of the best albums of all time.

Customer Rating I was first introduced to Travis when my friend, popped their CD into her car's player on the way home from Ventura College. At first I rolled my eyes and gritted my teeth for an hour’s worth of boring, classical music. As the music streamed forth from the stereo I listened to the melody and lyrics and realized it wasn't a boring Mozart Symphony. Instead it was Travis, The Man Who.
Some people wonder about music fanatics. Wonder why they get so hyped about a band or a certain song. Music plays an extremely important role in everyone's life. Everyone needs music, and more importantly, everyone has a certain taste for a certain style of music.
I can't say that Travis has changed my life, but I find that their artistry, their philosophy and their musical poetry in lyrical form has really made a difference in my life. Like the Beatles, they touch delicately with musical mastery on the darker and more painful side of love and the inner most soul.
Their songs are mature and thoughtful, filled with a wise longing for what we all long for. All humans long to be loved and sometimes love drops us. Travis is not a band dwelling on love during the 'high.' Travis dwells on love after the 'high.'
With poignant reality, Travis has made music to touch our soul, sympathizing with what we most long for.

Customer Rating On a normal, uneventful day, I heard the song 'Sing'. And I was hooked, although I had no clue who Travis were. Several months later, after frantically listening to the radio day upon day and never once hearing the song, I decided to go out and search for the album. The first time I sampled 'The Invisible Band', I did not immediately like it. But I returned a second time and bought it, and now I am completely in love with Travis. Fran Healy is an excellent songwriter, with a beautiful lyrical touch. The words of tracks like 'The Humpty Dumpty Love Song' and 'Pipe Dreams' are gently haunting, while the upbeat, lifting tunes of 'Sing' and 'Flowers in the Window' simply make you feel happy. Travis stand out from the mainstream sound, and it is a shame that they are not recognized in North America. This is, hands down, the best album of 2001.
