Score and parts for Luboš Fišer's Variations On An Unknown Theme, for String Quartet.
Luboš Fišer (1935–1999) was one of the most distinctive figures of Czech music in the 20th century. Composed in 1976, Variations On An Unknown Theme originates from a prankish eight-bar theme written by Fišer during his student days.
This first printed edition is based on the autograph of the score, which is housed in the Czech Museum of Music in Prague. This edition includes a foreword in three languages - Czech, German and English.
