Two works for the organ that are both composed around plainsong textures and melodies, together as a unified pair of performance pieces.Reliqui Domum Meum
was first performed in Orkney, 1996 by Heather Rendell, and was composed for the memorial service of organist Richard Hughes
of Kirkwall, Orkney.Veni Creator Spiritus
was first performed at Rochester Cathedral in 2002.
The overall mood of this sensitive commemorative piece, first performed in April 1996 at Kirkwall East Church, on the Orkney mainland, by Heather Rendall, is quite sombre - if anything, even more simple and restrained than that of Veni Creator Spiritus.
