Piano Time Dance is a fantastic collection of pieces in a dazzling array of dance styles. Witness the development of dance through the ages as you discover courtly gavottes, graceful waltzes, jazzy foxtrots, and lively Latin American tangos and sambas. To complete the fun, the collection includes duets for dancing partners, as well as witty illustrations and helpful explanations of the styles.

These pieces are suitable for players of around grade 2 standard - building on the techniques introduced in Piano Time 1 and Piano Time 2 - and provide fresh and entertaining repertoire for young pianists everywhere looking to light up the dance floor!

Included in ABRSM Piano Grade 1 Syllabus, alternative pieces.

London GB teach all ages of
The variety and level of difficulty makes this book very interesting to use as a resource and a teacher can use this to illustrate the tempi , melodic and harmonic content of many dance genres. Children interested in dance and classical music MUST encounter these types of music and as a choice of "free choice" pieces it gives enjoyment with lots of rhymical discovery so it seems rewarding to expand the repertoire effectively but with fun.
A bit more text would be interesting.
I would have encouraged the player to tap before play, and imagine which type of dancer was intended. ( groups of 2, folk dances, ballet, or ballroom.) Composers and countries are hardly mentioned and some are "famous" for various types of dances.
