Nottingham GB Violin/Viola teacher
I find that the technical progression is really good. There is enough material to ensure each new technical point can be well learnt before the next is introduced. The music is well thought out and there are attractive duets parts
The duet parts are written in treble clef and are intended to be played on the violin (they never use the C string and some double stops need to be played on an E string!). This is unfortunate as a pupil cannot model their tone on the teachers viola sound as they play with them.
