The American Classic® line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs for fuller sound, the Classics are turned from select hickory, a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable. The wood tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response.

These size 5A sticks have a tear drop tip for rich cymbal sounds. They are also light and fast so well suited for jazz, orchestral and pit work.

Good quality; a sturdy and strong design, chunky and easy to grip/hold. I bought these for my son, who needed a new pair of drum sticks, as his other ones had taken quite a bit of wear and tear. The chunky shape feels more comfortable in the hand than the thinner models and gives more power and a better sound to the playing. Overall, a good price at just under a tenner. Also purchased a drum stick bag, which although good quality, very strong, well-padded and with a strong shoulder strap, is a bit too large for just one or two pairs of sticks.
As mentioned above.
