A Song Cycle for High Voice and Piano based on a text by Kirstin van Cleve. Day of Love was comissioned by Frederica von Stade, and first performed in 1979 in New York by Ms. Von Stade herself with Martin Katz as pianist. Thomas Pasatieri is best known for his operas in a neoromantic idiom, which were very popular in America in their time.
