Description

This three-movement, approximately 20-minute piece, strikingly imitates the Gamelan sound. McPhee adds a sub-ensemble of two Pianos, Celesta, Xylophone, Marimba, Glockenspiel, and two Balinese gongs at the nucleus of his orchestra, similar to a concertino group in a Baroque Concerto Grosso.
