Description
Haydn wrote his trumpet concerto in 1796 for Anton Weidinger (1767-1852), the trumpeter in the court Orchestra in Vienna. Weidinger is considered to have been the finest exponent of this instrument and his experiments resulted in the creation of a fully chromatic Trumpet.
For Trumpet in E Flat with Piano accompaniment, as arranged and edited by Bram Wiggins. Also includes a part for Trumpet in B Flat.
