This superb new collection of nursery songs has been compiled to provide enjoyment and learning opportunities for young children. Links have been made to every learning area within the foundation stage curriculum so that practitioners can introduce music into their planning in a variety of new and interesting ways. Many of the songs within the collection will be ideal for the promotion of specific early learning goals, but will also provide a stimulus for further activities across the curriculum. Suggestions for using the songs are given in the accompanying booklet to encourage the adults and children involved to extend their own ideas. High-quality CD recordings of over 140 popular nursery rhymes and songs over eight CD’s - six of which are linked to one of the six areas of learning and two additional CD’s are full of songs for children to dance and play percussion to. There is also a free booklet of ideas for using tracks to promote the early learning goals. Each CD covers a wide range of musical styles, from traditional nursery rhymes to contemporary nursery favourites, including songs from a range of cultures. The collection is designed to be used as an educational resource, so that the children, and those who work with them, can share many pleasurable and often exciting experiences that will lead to a lifelong love of music.
