Sixty Exercises

Staff Reviews

Staff Rating This book is both the saviour and bane of all pianists! The exercises are specially graded and get gradually more difficult as the book progresses. I have already noticed the improvement in my finger strength after practicing from this book for a few weeks. I would really recommend this book to either beginners or more advanced players. Whilst it is a fantastic book, you need to pace yourself so that you don’t get bored. Make sure you actually play some ‘proper music’ alongside this!

Rating Review
Customer Rating I've not had alot of chance to really get into this piano excersise book, but from what u have done from it, i feel, it's definitely beneficial for your finger strength, already my 4th and 5th on each hand are feeling a wee bit stronger and that's just by working on the first excersise. Definitely a book for the aspiring "Virtuoso", or just to get your fingers in good shape.

Customer Rating This will be any pianist best friend to have. Really does see some difference after playing exercise number 1 through to 4.
Good for 4th and 5th strength building especially for those with small hands.

Customer Rating An excellent book to develop the finger muscles. This book may be not very melodic, and very 'scalistic', but it teaches finger dexterity, and clarity on the piano.

Customer Rating It is really the very book I am after.

Customer Rating A good, complete edition of this classic series of exercises. Be warned: there is no point undertaking exercises if they are being played with the wrong technique. Learn a good technique from a teacher who knows what they are talking about, and then use Hanon.
