Rating Review
Customer Rating This book is brilliant for a learner who is secondary school age upwards. I found that teaching with some colourful books were a bit childish but this book is great. It gets straight into playing and you learn proper famous tunes rather than made up tunes.
A brilliant book!

Customer Rating Excellent for adult learners who want to learn something new or have just forgotten how to play. It's great for people who just want to get on with it, if you know what I mean.

Customer Rating I have searched and searched for an adult beginners' tutor book which gives very basic progressive instruction, with no cartoon characters or condescending comments, and yet which adult pupils can feel comfortable with. The Classic Piano Course does exactly that. The little boxes of "Fascintating Snippets" are interesting but not intrusive, the pieces are well chosen. Adult beginners are often very self-critical and always ask searching questions, the answers to which are carefully and easily explained in this book. It's a must for new adult learners or late re-starters. Many thanks.

Customer Rating I bought this book on the strength of the earlier recommendations I read. The student is a retired friend who has decided to teach herself to play the piano.

When she received the book, she contacted me to express her pleasure, saying it was 'just the right sort of book' she needed.

Customer Rating This is a great book for adult beginners, starting from a basic standard but playing proper music straight away. I also find it useful for repertoire for brighter young learners.

Customer Rating This book is excellent for my adult beginners. I have searched through many other piano books to find a suitable series for adults, but have generally only come across books designed for young children, which come over as patronising to adult beginners. This book moves at a very brisk pace, so it's important to ensure that the pupil has grasped every new development before moving onto the next piece, but all in all I am very impressed with this book.

Customer Rating There is a growing body of middle-aged people keen to take up practical music and there are not so many tutor books around for adult beginners. This is about the best I have come across whilst providing a reasonable framework, is not in any way either patronising to the student nor obviously aimed at the traditional child pupil. The simple arrangements of tunes are very good.

Customer Rating Well set out with plenty of interest. It is clear and has a good selection of pieces that are well chosen to keep the adult learner interested. I like the little snippets of information given now and then. I would recommend this book to any adult beginner.
