Rating Review
Customer Rating This is almost worth the price just for the CD.

The pieces are nicely varied - from upbeat feet-tappers to some really beautifully melodies. The arrangements are excellent throughout and all offer quite a challenge for both hands (and head). There's also a decent bit of info about the genre and the composers.

Definitely recommended if you're interested in ragtime, or indeed fingerstyle in general.

Customer Rating I purchased this book having concentrated on intermediate level finger picking blues style over the past year. I have to say that this is a big step up in terms of sophistication and difficulty but ultimately very rewarding! Unless you are a really accomplished guitarist (say grade 7-8 level) you will find some of the pieces too difficult initially but there is plenty to get you going (Delta Rag, Al's Slow Rag). The CD is not only useful in tackling the pieces but inspiring as it shows the sort of sound you can achieve if you persevere. I think this book will keep me busy for a few years.
