Rating Review
Customer Rating This is actually quite a lot harder than the other books in the Guest Spot series. If you are keen and have got somewhere with the (Green cover) Jazz playalong, then this is an ideal next stage. Great arrangements and backing (- check out how close 'In a Sentimental Mood' is to the John Coltrane version!) But importantly, there are many sections where the dots have disappeared and just the chords are shown giving you a chance to try your own thing. Of course the demo tracks give you some ideas to use and they follow the written arrangements accurately. Overall, a great book but not for complete beginners.
