A setting of a traditional text from New Hampshire (1784), this is No.3 of Three Upper-Voice Carols by Andrew Carter. A soft a sombre hymn for upper voices with piano or harp accompaniment, the piece was first performed by the Manchester Boy's Choir at Bridgewater Hall at Christmas 2002.
