I bought G7 to be able to set out scores how I wanted to and to be able to practice using play back. Both of which G7 is good at. What is wrong with G7? In my opinion the layout tools could be better, the internal instruments are limited and scanning is not brilliant. Alternatives include Print Music and Guitar which are cheaper but having downloaded demo copies of all three, while both Finale products are easy to use, they have features which annoyed very quickly. G7 takes longer to learn but has great features which I appreciate every time I use it.
