Customer Rating This is ideal for only for building your vocabulary of lines, but what makes it so special is that he gives away some top lines. Although there is a bonus performance thrown in, it is pricey but a good buy depending on your musical objective. Highly recommended, the most useful and learnable instructional video Pass made, in my opinion. Joe simply gives you lots of bite-size 2-3 bar licks. He does an extended vamp over each chord, and then demonstrates a non-stop line, or an "etude" as the booklet calls them, usually employing some ideas of the previous licks in the lines – a nice pedagogic touch. The cover says "special section on turnarounds", but its not!! They are extended turnarounds so you can't learn the lines and use them yourself. What he is really doing, is showing you how to navigate through certain key sequences. My only complaint is that I was hoping to learn some cool turnaround lines. Other than that, for me and my purpose, an excellent video. Just what I wanted.
