Description

Godspeed: The Kurt Cobain Graphic takes Cobain's story and plays it out as a totally unique graphic novel.
From the luminous colours of an idyllic childhood through the flamboyant hues of success and stardom, Cobain's story inevitably declines into a much darker palette. The script draws from the singer's tortured self-image as well as straightforward biographical fact so that the tone of the book fluctuates between subjective dream-state and objective reality.
Much more than a biography, Godspeed is unlike anything you have read about Kurt Cobain before. Going beyond the facts, it transmutes Cobain's extraordinary life into an equally extraordinary work of art.

Rating Review
Customer Rating Whether you are the most passionate Kurt cobain fan or not, I believe this graphic novel will please you. The type in the panels for Kurt's narrative has been well researched and presented in an exquisite way, blended with the art-work, it forms a truly memorable biography which is bound to change the way you look at Kurt Cobain.I think the two writers,Jim McCarthy and Barnaby Legg & the artist, Steve Beaumont deserve credits, they are all conspicuously talented.

Customer Rating Whether you're a first-timer to the comic book genre, or an avid collector, you won't be disappointed with Godspeed. The responsibility was heavy, but these guys shouldn't let any fans down. Whatever your take on how Cobain's life ended, the graphic stands alone as a respectful and fitting tribute. Godspeed is as unique and powerful as Cobain's life itself - the darkness and the pain, the joy and adulation, the vulnerability and self-loathing - it's all there, screaming at you with an eye-watering intensity from each brilliantly inked and cleverly penned page. Don't be fooled...these guys know their Cobain. For me, Godspeed is more than a graphic - it's an experience, a journey...and a very fitting tribute to a talented, tortured genius.
