Rating Review
Customer Rating This DVD is really easy to understand and follow. I learned something new in the first few minutes of watching. This DVD really does cover everything you would want to know.

Customer Rating Ed Friedland explains slap technique from the absolute basics and there is no great requirement for a strong fretting hand until some of the later exercises. The pace moved along perfectly for me; I would sometimes spend 3-4 hours on a particular exercise before moving onto the next exercise.

The booklet documents each exercise in both Standard Notation and Tab which I appreciated.

The DVD is split into a number of chapters which can be selected just as you would on a normal DVD film. I particularly appreciated this because I spent a long time repeating the first few exercises while I was getting acquainted with the thumb-slap.

I haven't seen Alexis Slarevski's Slap Bass Program so I can't draw a comparison, but I can't see how this could be beaten. Everything is explained in clear detail and the course assumes no prior slap exposure and takes the viewer all the way up to the advanced techniques (e.g. Vic Wooten's double-thumb).

Anon.
