An unusual and visually compelling piece for solo Flute with optional Electronics. The work begins with a text by Saint-John Perse, spoken by the Flautist. Little by little, the instrument is raised towards their mouth, and the text changes into music. Composed in Paris at the beginning of 1982, the work features optional parameters for a live amplified electronic accompaniment derived in real-time from the performance.
