The film was adapted from the memoir of Jewish-Polish musician Wladyslaw Szpilman, whose world collapsed at the outbreak of World War II in 1939, and portrays his struggles and encounters throughout the war.

Customer Rating I'm not big on classical music but this book of inspiring and captivating compositions has completely changed my opinion.

Customer Rating If you enjoyed the movie as much as I did, then you will find this book really enjoyable. When going through the different pieces and playing them, recollections of the movie suddenly appear in your head. The standard is of harder Grade 4 and possibly Grade 5. A must buy!
