Customer Rating This book is a wonderful introduction to anyone wishing to begin singing the coloratura repertoire. It presents many different arias from Handel in 1735 to Lee Hoiby in 1986. The piano accompaniments are very well thought out, and specialist as well as popular arias are presented, as are cadenzas and ossia passages. This book's one failing is that there are some operas with prominent coloratura roles (Rigoletto, La Traviata, Anna Bolena, Idomeneo, etc)that are not even mentioned. However, thoughroughly reccommended to anyone with an interest in this sort of music.
