The first eight solos are descriptive recitals pieces. The next seven solos pertain to various holidays or seasons and may be used accordingly. The third group consists of four pieces written in the styles of different periods of music: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary.

All of the solos may be used for recital or festival music, or simply as extra material with any piano course.
