This is a sound book for the very beginner, as it progresses through how to assemble the instrument, create the correct embouchure and achieve the upper register, alongside the theory of written music. However, it remains at a basic stage for much of the book and does not "stretch" the pupil with potential, or inspire the reluctant learner! This is excellent as a start, but most players will soon be looking for something a bit more "fun" to play.
