I am teaching myself music theory and have just completed this book. I found it excellent! The explanations at the start of each chapter are clear and are followed by exercises which increase in difficulty. At the end of the book are general exercises which call upon all your previous learning. If you don't have a music teacher to help you, I would recommend buying the answer book to go with this.
