Description

These duets were originally published in Berlin soon after 1791, with the music printed in two part books, as in the present volume, consisting of arias and instrumental pieces from Mozart's opera The Magic Flute - first staged in Vienna in September 1291.

The duets were extremely popular for years to come, published by at least a dozen publishers in Austria, Germany, France and England. In fact, many of Mozart's operas and symphonies were arranged for various Piano, Flute, Guitar, String trios, Quartets and even wind bands!
This new edition has been re-edited to address inconsistencies of articulation and dynamics between the parts, and modernize notation.

Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating This book of duets is excellent, allowing teacher and student, or 2 students, to explore creative style together in the classical setting. There is something here for the keen beginner as well as intermediate players and a pleasing performance is quite easily achievable with these delightful arrangements.
