Gordon Lewin: It Takes 5 to Tango

Gordon Lewin's fantastic It Takes 5 to Tango contains three tangos of medium difficulty evocative of the avenidas and barrios of South America, all set for Clarinet Quintet. Melancholic, nostalgic, sultry and seductive, the tango was once dubbed a scandalous pastime, with its smile of hope, and lament of bitterness, set to the sob of the bandonion, but here transcribed for clarinet quintet.
