Rating Review
Customer Rating I would agree with the previous reviewer - a fairly obligatory buy.

These new editions are clearer, but still lack explanations, so they are not books which music students can work through on their own... they also lack appeal for children.

Customer Rating This book is a must have for the ABRSM theory exam and a fairly reluctant obligatory buy - hence the three stars. This edition is a big improvement on the last one. Some parts have clearer lay out and language. Frustrated by the lack of answers in the book itself - unless you are musical or have a teacher it is difficult to say if your answers are wrong or right. Overall a necessity for the exams rather than a good book in itself.

Customer Rating Great preparation for the exam, when supplemented with good teaching! Not really aimed at young children, who might find the exercises boring and the language a bit serious, but gets the point across.

Customer Rating A great book!

Simple to understand and a great teaching resource

Customer Rating Clearly explained exercises with examples.

Customer Rating The revised Theory in Practice books are much more accesible than the originals. They are easy to read and use and have important points written in different colours to highlight them. Much improved.

Customer Rating This is a very well ordered and presented book. All examples are clear and the text is easy to understand for the beginner. I recommend it to all teachers.

Customer Rating This revised version is much more child-friendly than the original. The examples are excellent and really help to make it clear what each exercise is about. The use of coloured ink also makes it easier to follow.
