Description

At the age of 19, Paul Gilbert recorded his first album with the band Racer X and stunned audiences in L.A. with his fast, clean and intense rock guitar style. After two more psycho-speed-guitar albums with Racer X, Paul left to form Mr. Big with monster-musicians Eric Martin, Billy Sheehan, and Pat Torpey. Mr. Big's debut established Paul as a seasoned player, able to combine ripping guitar licks with dynamics and feel.

Intense Rock: Complete goes where no guitar instructional DVD has gone before. Mr. Big guitarist, Paul Gilbert, explains step-by-step how to approach untouchable skills such as sequences, alternate picking, phrasing, dynamics, improvisation and feel. Of course, no Paul Gilbert lesson would be complete without a healthy dose of techno-terror licks. So, grab a guitar, turn on the TV and watch it if you dare!

This Complete DVD features both parts of his intense rock course with over 2 hours o footage, printable PDF companion booklet and special bonus material that includes Live performance by Yngwie Malmsteen and lessons with Steve Morse and John Petrucci.

Customer Reviews

Rating Review
Customer Rating Kick Ass basically. If you wanna improve your shredding skills with some unique tips along the way, get this DVD! It's always fun (and scary) to see Mr Gilbert lighting up the fret board and then showing you how he's actually doing it! The first section is tabbed on screen and the second comes in downloadable PDF Format. Can't enough of it!
