This is a real fun piece with enough "contemporary" edge so that it doesn't turn into easy listening, and lots of charm and tenderness so that doesn't get rude or unpleasant. If you think (like Williams) that the tuba is as technically flexible as the cornet, then go for it. Caution: Quite a lot of it is high to skyhigh. Highly recommended.
